Gordon Kampe (b. 1976, Herne, Germany) is a German composer. After completing an apprenticeship as an electrician, he studied composition with Hans-Joachim Hespos and Adriana Hölszky at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre (1998-2000) and with Nicolaus A. Huber at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen (2000-03). He also studied musicology and history at the Ruhr University in Bochum, where he took his doctorate with a dissertation on 20th-century fairy-tale operas.
