At the beginning of 2001 Gruba forms itself out of the two former "Schweisser" musicians Miene Gruber (guit,Voc) and Gerald "Greulix" Schrank as well as Ben Essen ex- "Freaky Fuckin Weirdoz" They produce their own demo CD in April 2001 somewhere between the Munich Tollwood and the Kaunertal Longboard World Championship they build up a faithful fan club aging from 5 to 95.Their songs travel as far as Chile, Australia or Lower Bavaria and after heaps of positive feedback, the guys/ they decide to hit the studio.
