"My Way or the Highway" is the first major studio album released by blues guitarist Guitar Shorty (David Kearney), even though he had been in the business since the 1950s. His legacy was largely limited to a solitary single for Cobra and a handful of great but legendarily obscure follow-ups for Los Angeles-based Pull Records. It was at the behest and producing of Otis Grand that Shorty made the record. Crisp vocals and absolutely phenomenal guitar playing makes this album a compelling listen.
