Hærleif Langås is an ambient artist from Trondheim Norway. His music is usually considered ambient or dark ambient with minimalist melodic elements and/or field recordings from nature. Hærleif is self taught in music from exploring synths and computer based sound manipulation in the early nineties and onward, he went on to use field recordings as source sounds for creating ambient music mixed with his own or other musicians instrumental input. In later years piano and occasionally guitar has been more prominent in some of his releases.
