Heribert Beissel (born 1933, Wesel, Germany) is a German orchestral conductor. He is perhaps best known for conducting works by 19th century Romantic composers, such as Chopin. His discography covers composers from Bach to Debussy. He is an alumnus of the Hochschule für Musik Köln where he studied conducting with Günther Wand and composition with Frank Martin. He began his conducting career in Bonn, and in 1968 founded the Chur Cölnischer Chor Bonn, which he still directs.
