Instant Folk Death was a band usually (and only) consisting of Karl Wiemer, though on several occasions he was joined by friends such as Aaron Freeman (Gene Ween) and Scott Lowe. Karl began playing shows as "IFD" sometime in the late 80s and the project seems to have trailed off by 1993. A staple of Instant Folk Death's work is that many of the cassette demos released by Wiemer often featured the name of friend and drummer in the New Hope area Bob Lee.
