Irmãos Almeida was an Angolan kizomba group consisting of the two brothers Beto de Almeida and Moniz de Almeida. Moniz died in 2013 leading to a halt in performances of the group of heart failure but in 2019 Beto took up the b(r)and name again as a way to honour his brother. Moniz de Almeida started out as a troubadour in Cuando Cubango, where for many years he was the winner of local competitions and thus became its national representative.
