Japanese Sleepers were a Nottingham/Sheffield-based genre shifting quintet, founded in early 2010 by Andrew Hirst and Alexander Christopher Hale. They played one show as a two-piece before expanding the line-up to include Neal Heppleston (bass), Gemma Ferguson (glockenspiel, drums), and Stephen Wragg (violin, cowbell). Around the time of their early shows they released a 4 song demo - Demons and Demos - to the internet.
