Biography
Jerk Reaction is a 5-piece melodic hardcore band from North Eastern Pennsylvania (NEPA). Sean "Toy" Elsasser: Vocals, Bryce "Baby/No Face" Sipes: Bass, Dave Nicholas: Guitar, Drew "The Bearded Lady" Clegg: Guitar, and Bill "Squid" Orender: Drums, complete the solid line-up of Jerk Reaction as of September, 2008. Having released a demo in early 2007 and an EP in June of 2008, the band's unreleased work is highly anticipated by many friends, fans and listeners. While the band's beginnings sound like a hardcore punk 7" from 1988, they quickly progressed to a sound far beyond the limits of hardcore, adding a creative new twist to the genre and lyrically taking on issues such as problems and ignorance within the punk and hardcore scene, straight-edge, teenage angst, and sing-a-long anthems that make friends feel more like family. Definitely keep a lookout for this band, good things are bound to happen for these guys in the future.
