Salena Jones (born Joan Elizabeth Shaw, January 29, 1944 in Newport News, Virginia) is an American jazz and cabaret singer. Born Joan Shaw in Newport News, Virginia, she is a direct descendant of Crazy Horse, the Indian Sioux warrior. Frustrated by the racism in her home country, Joan moved to England in 1965 and changed her name to Salena Jones.
