Joe Ninety were formed in early 1997 in the backwater town of Whitehaven in Cumbria (UK). Originally starting off as three friends who shared a similar taste in music, that wanted to play in a band: Andrew on Bass, Steve on guitar/vocals and Lee on drums/vocals. After hammering out some (decidedly dodgy) covers and a couple of their own songs, they all relocated, for one reason or another, down the country to Leeds/Bradford.
