Born July 10th, 1953 in Letmathe, Johannes Nitsch was one of Germany's most important musicians and song writers for contemporary Christian music. He studied music at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen and led the music department of the ERF (evangelical radio broadcasting) in Wetzlar from 1978 to 1982. Afterwards he worked freelance with brief employments as music referent for the CVJM, a Christian youth organisation, and as producer for the Hänssler Verlag.
