"Johnny & the Tornados" was Country Joe and the Fish, without Joe. The band name was made up for the collection of musicians that made music for the '70s US movie "Gas-s-s": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas-s-s-s
The soundtrack was released on American International Records (A-1038) in 1970.
