Johnny Diesel & The Injectors were a rock band active in the late 80's and early 90's. They had a very successful album, self titled, Johnny Diesel & The Injectors in 1989.

All tracks* were written by Johnny Diesel, who is now better known as simply, Diesel. The album went on to win the ARIA in 1990 for Best Selling Album of The Year. The Band also won the ARIA for Best New Talent in 1989.

The Band consisted of:

Johnny Diesel (Diesel, Mark Lizotte) - Vocalist & Guitar
Bernie Bremond - Saxes & Backing vocals
Yak Sherrit - Drums
Johnny 'Tatt' Dalzell - Bass

Many hits songs such as Don't Need Love, Lookin' For Love, Cry In Shame & Soul Revival are as current today as they were when first released. Diesel has reworked many of his songs acoustically on his more recent album Singled Out.

Diesel is still writing, performing, and releasing albums. His latest album is Coathanger Antennae.

Yak Sherrit plays drums on many of the Jimmy Barnes albums such as Double Happiness, Raw & Ride the Night Away.
