José Paulino Rolón Alcaraz (Zapotlán, Jalisco, 1876 — México, D.F., 1945), was a Mexican composer, orchestra director and music professor. He studied in Paris under Mozkowski and later with Paul Dukas and Nadia Boulanger. Upon his return to Mexico he was professor of composition at the National Conservatory. He composed a symphony, symphonic poems (of which "Cuauhtémoc" and "Zapotlán" include Mexican native material), a Concert for piano & orchestra, a String Quartet of excellent contrapunctistic fashion and numerous pieces for piano as well as songs.
