Kaikki Turhat Ry:t On Persseestä Ry, or KTROPR, was founded in 2001 by three entertainers. The membership swelled to five, but soon shrank to four. With four members, the band played a live gig at the Laitila High School porridge festival in 2001. The same group made their first demos in 2001-2002 and released their first album at the end of 2002. The album has since gained worldwide popularity, including the songs Marjatta and Boogienation.
