Biography
Keith Cross & Peter Ross was a British folk-rock duo that released their only album, "Bored Civilians", in 1972. Cross had been in T2 and Ross in Hookfoot. A second album was being prepared, but the duo split.
The duo is said to have met in a warehouse in Bermondsey, London, although their spiritual home was Muswell Hill in North London, where Cross lived. The duo's musical influences were wide and a sojourn to a cottage in North Wales produced most of what became "Bored Civilians".They wrote mostly alone, collaborating and supporting each other where possible. Contributing to the album were the likes of Nick Lowe , BJ Cole and a number of other musicians.
A second album was being prepared, but as individuals, the duo were experiencing other lives and musics, so they walked away.
See c'est entendu for a complete review in French, which seems to suggest a reason why, financially, Decca failed to back the project and which resulted in the duo signing with CBS.
