Kieran Kane, Kevin Welch & Fats Kaplin is an American country folk trio of musician Kieran Kane, singer-songwriter Kevin Welch and country rock and bluegrass musician Fats Kaplin.

In 2004, the three musicians, all being with Dead Reckoning Records, got together to record "You Can't Save Everybody". The trio followed this up with "Lost John Dean" in 2006. "Lost John Dean" reached number one on the US Americana charts, and resulted in nominations for several awards including Duo/Group of the year at the 2006 Americana Honors and Awards. The subsequent eponymous "Kane Welch Kaplin", with the addition of Lucas Kane, was also nominated for Duo/Group. The group traveled to Australia ten times, as well as Europe and the UK, Canada, and all over the United States.

Their "Kane Welch Kaplin" album was self-produced and comprises 12 tracks, with the addition of Lucas Kane using minimal percussion setup of floor tom, hi-hat and cymbal).
