Kristián (Bohumír) Gottfried Hirschmentzel (January 7, 1638 Frýdek - February 26, 1703 Velehrad) was a Baroque historian, priest, writer, philosopher. He was born in Frýdek in Silesia, he worked mainly in Bolatice in the Opava region and as a spiritual in Velehrad. Hirschmentzel was born into the family of a nobleman from the Silesian region of Legnica.
