Biography
Lautner is a duo made up of childhood friends Sacha and Axel, both 20 years old. Both started to play music at an early age, the violin for Sacha, and the guitar for Axel. They started singing songs together when they were teenagers, first as a hobby. But this hobby was their first and main passion, and that is why they decided to try to sing professionally. And that’s why, in 2015, they auditionned for the 2016 season of The Voice, separately, because they did not intend to share a career as a duo at the time.
Axel failed to make it to the blind auditions at the last shortlisting level, but Sacha got the chance to sing in front of the judges’ chairs. His cover of “Little Things” seduced Mika, and Sacha got into his team, but did not survive the Battles. His participation was not in vain, though, because he was invited by Eva Longoria to sing at her Global Gift Gala in Paris the following year. He was also cast to dub Johnny in the French version of the animation movie Sing!.
Axel and Sacha liked singing together, as a hobby, until they realized they should share their musical career, and created their duo, Lautner. “Lautner” was the name they had given to their group of six friends when they were teenagers, and they decided to keep it. Together, they have released a successful cover of “Par Amour” (from Maître Gims and Dadju), which was broadcast on the radio. They are currently preparing an album.
