Libido Froid gründeten sich im Frühjahr 2005 in Meersburg am Bodensee aus den drei jungen Musikern Matthias König (Gitarre und Gesang), Tillmann Gaida (Schlagzeug) und Patrik Hummel (Bass). Schon wenige Monate nach ihrer Gründung machte sich die Band durch erste Auftritte auf lokalen Konzerten und Festivals einen Namen in der örtlichen Szene.
