It was released as a double A-sided single, with "Alfie", in the UK on March 5, 2007, as a CD single, 7" vinyl and digital download. The vocal melody is loosely based on a horn line of a Jackie Mittoo song titled "Loving You" off the album "Evening Time". There was no video filmed for the song. "Shame For You", along with "Alfie", charted at #15 in the UK.
