“Meat Grinder”, like any other track MF DOOM is a part of, shows off his extremely rhyme heavy bars, as well as his references to obscure pop culture. The track’s subjects range from DOOM hopelessly trying to score with a young girl, to him deprecating himself for his shoe style, and overall, just bragging about his insane lyrics. Madlib samples two songs here. The first is part of the intro, a Frank Zappa produced song used in an old TV ad, titled “Sleeping in a Jar”. The second is a song by Lew Howard and the All Stars titled “Hula Rock”.
