This is about Elian Gonzalez, a 6-year-old Cuban boy who left the country in a boat with his mother and 12 others to seek asylum in the US. The boat didn't make it, and Elian was rescued by fishermen and brought to live with relatives in Miami. He became the subject of a major news story when he was ordered back to Cuba to live with his father (his mother died on the journey). US marshals had to seize the boy and send him back against the wishes of his relatives and many Cubans living in the US. Sean - Belfast, Ireland
