A Roger Waters-penned song written in 1968, after Syd Barrett left the band, as an attempt to reinvent themselves. The lyrics are about the downfall of Barrett. The song was eventually recorded by Marianne Faithfull on her 1999 album Vagabond Ways. The melody of the opening of the verses provided the chorus of "Your Possible Pasts", from the Pink Floyd album The Final Cut.
