Mathou (born in Wiesbaden, real name Rainer Matuschek) is a German gallery owner, art dealer, pianist, song writer and singer. He lives in Berlin. He is known for his title song You Never Walk Alone for the ZDF-TV series Friends for Life, which reached #16 in the German charts for 1 week at the beginning of 1993. He dedicated this song to his three sons. In the same year the song was acclaimed as the most successful television melody.
