Matthew began his passion for music when he received a drum set one Christmas from his parents at the age of 4. From there, he added guitar and bass to his repertoire as a further experiment in music. As a teen, he went on to help plant Church of the Highlands as a founding member of the worship team under the leadership of Chris Hodges, which has now become one of the fastest growing churches in America.
