Miklós Maros was born in Pécs, Hungary in 1943. After completing his studies with Ferenc Szabó at the Academy of Music in Budapest, he moved to Sweden to join the composition class of Ingvar Lidholm at Stockholm’s College of Music. His contact to György Ligeti has also played a significant rôle in his development as a composer.
