Nektar, an English band formed in Germany debuted with Journey to the Centre of the Eye in 1971. Recorded in mid '71 in Dierks Studios, West Germany, the album is a conceptual progressive-space rock piece divided into 13 tracks, telling a story. The story follows an astronaut in a ship heading to Saturn, where he is intercepted by a "saucer of unknown origin". He then follows it, travelling through hyperspace and arriving to the a new galaxy, "The Dream Nebula", serene and beautiful.
