Noboru Kirishima (KIRISHIMA Noboru 霧島昇) (born 1914, died 1984) was a popular music and movie singer from Fukushima. His real name was Eigo Sakamoto. He was born in Okumura, Futaba County, Fukushima Prefecture (now Iwaki City). In 1979, he was awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon. His singing career began in 1937, was put on hold during naval service in the Greater East-Asian War, and ended with his death in 1984. In 1970 he was awarded the Purple Ribbon for valor.
