NxNW or North by Northwest was birthed in Central Illinois the bastard child of 4 college undergrads. The group existed from 1999-2003. Their journeys would take them far beyond the corn fields of the midwest though. With nods to the mid-late 90s post-rock/emo sound, think Jawbox, Braid, etc.. A couple of short tours and as many out of town shows as could be mustered got the music out. Through a self-released title, various compilation inclusions, and a full record which never saw the light of day. The songs may be hard to find today, but live on in all their digital glory.
