Former porter Silvio de Almeida wrote 'Vem meu amor', with his friend Guio. The song became known in its version by Olodum and exploded when it was re-recorded in 1998 by Ivete Sangalo. The lyrics were written around 1987, when Silvio was 18 and unemployed. The song, said Silvio, was made for a festival of sambas juninos, in the neighborhood of Nordeste de Amaralina, in Salvador.
