Manchester, Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom
Out on Blue Six was a post-punk band formed in Manchester, UK in the 1980s. The lineup consisted of Kate Sekules, Nigel Holland, Carl Marsh, Mike Daly, and Geoff Wooley. They recorded two Peel sessions, a single, tracks on compilation albums, and played an infamous London debut at the Lyceum supporting Hawkwind, whose fans hated them and knocked out the drummer with a can of beer. They had a following at London venues and were being courted by labels like 4AD, Beggars Banquet and Rough Trade when they broke up. Marsh went on to found Shriekback with Barry Andrews and Dave Allen.
