Biography
The band consists of Kubo and Junko and they are referred to as PAN SASA for short. P&ART SASANOOOHA (パンダとササノハ) is a cornerstone in shibuya-kei and experimental japanese music. Pan Sasa sounds akin to Pizzicato 5, and have occasional involvement with members of the defunct band (P5) in the form of remixes and compilations. Genre description might include lounge, bossa nova, pop, and electro. They have remixed works by Ayumi Hamasaki, Morning Musume and Nomiya Maki. Activities include DJ performances, designing album art and writing a magazine column.
Their first album was released in 2001 and a t-shirt of their own design was included. In 2004 they released Panda and Sasanoha, and in 2005 they put out P&ART MUSIC - Panda to Ongaku. They have since released P&ART World in 2008 . Most of their work is out of Tokyo and Osaka. You can mail order their personal zine called "Pan Sasa Magazine".
