Pianosaurus Rex were a band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. They first formed in 2001, consisting of lead singer Jason Ramone of The Nads, keyboard player David Moon from Instant Ninja, Phil Bennett of A Smile for Weakness on guitar, and Alex Loveday of Bullet Train on drums. Alex came up with the name "Pianosaurus Rex", so it is really his band. Pianosaurus Rex has been described as a sick sounding version of The Doors.
