Pigor & Eichhorn is a Cabaret- and Chanson-Duo founded in 1995 in Berlin, (actually "Pigor is singing, while Eichhorn has to accompany him") consisting of Thomas Pigor and Benedikt Eichhorn. Since 2000 Ulf Heinrich ("The Ulf") is playing with them on stage.
Pigor & Eichhorn got to be known in Germany, Austria and Switzerland through their "Salon-Hip-Hop": A modern way of playing Cabarét-Tunes, german "Chansons à texte", combining modern music with satirical contents. Onstage the singer and the piano player are inflicted in minor comic discussions and fights, which lead through their program.
Their lyrics "are leading the big-city-song of the ending 20th century on its way", as the justification for the german cabaret-award said. They received the award in the category "Chanson".
