Radu Nechifor is a young Romanian pan flute player and builder, former apprentice of Gheorghe Zamfir. He has launched his debut album "Esenta de Nai" ("Panflute Essence") in 2007, on which he plays Romanian folklore, accompanied by some of the best known Romanian folklore instrumentists. Under the guidance of renown pan flute builder Joeri Murk, Nechifor learned to build pan flutes and opened an instrument workshop next to his home in Cisnadie, Sibiu county.
