Richard Adam (Prague Czechia, 14 November 1930 -14 October 2017) was a Czech singer, one of the great stars of Czech swing of the 1950's. His greatest fame and popularity, he had at the end of the 1950s and in the beginning of the 1960s. He was also very well known and popular in former East Germany and in the former Soviet Union. After the 1968 Warsaw pact invasion, he had to undergo a wave of bans and political persecutions.
