Famed pop auteur Jimmy Webb actually played keyboards on this overnight pick-up project that also included recently mourned Wrecking Crew legends Joe Osborne (8-string bass) and Hal Blaine (drums). Singer/actor Richard Harris ('King Arthur' in the late 60's movie production of 'Camelot') arranged the session and took on the range-y, melodramatic vocals. He was goodly soused by recording time, and that is one reason he constantly calls it "MacArthur'S Park" (not as Webb wrote it in the singular).
