Hollywood, CA based producers W. Michael Lewis and Laurin Rinder were prolific musicians in the later half of the 1970's. The two studio musicians had been involved in the 60’s & early 70’s rock scene, Laurin & Michael in Joshua; Michael with We Five, Spirit and Quicksilver Messenger Service but it was disco that provided the most lucrative opportunities. Other names they prolifically issued titles under included El Coco, Saint Tropez, Tuxedo Junction and Le Pamplemousse and numerous soundtracks to 70's TV shows like “That’s Incredible” & “In Search Of…” .

They eventually stopped working together in 1981 after having recorded music for over 200 individual television shows, 13 films and 24 albums under the business auspices of their RinLew Productions, Inc.

In an interview with the website Discopia, Lauren Rinder admits to literally living in the studio for days on end, and “The amount of coke I did to do all this you can’t even imagine. $300 a day. I had to have plastic inserts in my nose so I could do more.”

W. Michael Lewis is a partner and Director/AR for S. Cargo Productions, Inc. and his record label SnailWorx.
