Roland Major are an Australian noise rock/doomgaze band based out of Sydney, New South Wales. The band is comprised of lead vocalist/guitarist Andrew Rutherford, drummer Josh Dowton (Ted Danson with Wolves, Ache, MSV BCP, We Caught the Kraken) and guitarist Jacob Rossi (Oslow), (Sweater Season). The band originally formed in 2011, and shared its members with the band Rara Avis. The latter was eventually dissolved in favour of Roland Major. A debut record is set for release in 2015.
