Ross Broughm, born in Lockeport, N.S. His appearances on radio across N.S.,N.B., and Ont., made Ross into a much wanted solo guitarist. Then came television. Ross made his debut on the ever popular Don Messer Show on CBC. After numerous appearances on the Don Messer Show he joined the staff of CJCH-TV in Halifax, N.S. Cross Canada Barn Dance was then seen Coast to Coast on CTV Network Station featuring the Bluenose Boys. Ross also appeared weekly with the Countrymen, who served as a background band for TV and Road shows. Ross' influence was Chet Atkins, Merle Travis.
