Sam Wegman grew up in Seattle and began playing the guitar in the Eighth grade, at about the age of thirteen. Until the age of sixteen, Sam was a self-taught musician whom learned by listening to his musical inspirations such as Elliott Smith, Jeff Buckley, Neil Young and Radiohead, including their sounds and elements into his own music. Now an Undergraduate at the University of Portland, Sam has released his debut (Self-signed) album, These Songs Were Made for Jars, in February of 2009, with Mr. Brud Giles as producer and percussionist.
