Saw Fist Tree cull songs of Sophistry. David Tarbell, Matt Walker, and Peterson Goodwyn grew up in separate corners of America before converging in the Amish-affiliated town of Wooster, OH. A one-off jam on The Shagg’s “Philosophy of the World” sewed the seed that has become Saw Fist Tree. The trio had four years to meditate on that jam before reconvening last winter. In the cold and mildly hostile environment of an abandoned Cincinnati auto-shop they recorded their tunes 24/7 for a week.
