"Lily the Pink" is a popular single by Liverpudlian comedy group The Scaffold. Based on the folk song "The Ballad Of Lydia Pinkham", "Lily the Pink" was a surprise hit, becoming the Christmas #1 in the UK singles chart for four weeks, in December 1968. Another version of the song was the unofficial regimental song of the Royal Tank Corps, at the end of World War II. It was also a minor hit in North America for The Irish Rovers from the Decca LP release "Tales To Warm Your Mind" in 1969.
