This song is about Buddy's (singer/songwriter of Senses Fail) alcoholism, how he blames some of it on his father who left him at a young age. He feels like he has no reason to continue living and he jumps from a building, wishing he would have never been born, and falls to his grave. This song tells a story which is continued in the song "Priest and the Matador".
