Biography
Shuky & Aviva (also Shuki & Aviva) was an Israeli vocal duo comprised of Shuki Levy (born June 3, 1947 in Tel Aviv) and Aviva Paz (born October 3, 1943).
Shuky & Aviva recorded mainly in French. Between 1972 and 1978 they released over 15 singles that Levi had partially written himself. Of their biggest hit, Signorina concertina in 1972, a total of about two million copies have been sold. They presented this song in a German version in 1973 in ZDF Hit Parade. The climax Shuky & Aviva experienced in 1975 and 1976 with Bye bye à bientôt (1975), Je t'aime un peu trop, fête l'amour, the French version of the Eagles hits Hotel California and Viens que t'embrasse ever (1976) managed to equal a number of major hits. In addition, the duo released a number of songs also in English and German. In total, Shuky & Aviva sold in France about a half million singles and 100,000 albums.
In Germany, Shuky & Aviva were known especially through participation in the preliminary round for the Euro Vision Song Contest 1975.
