Sonic Assassins was a short-lived side project by Hawkwind members Dave Brock and Robert Calvert, formed specifically to play live in the south west of england, which was where Brock and Calvert were living at the time. The band was augmented by the members of a local Devon band named Ark, who included future Hawkwind members Harvey Bainbridge (bass), Martin Griffin (drums) and Paul Hayles (keyboards).
