Started in Detroit, Michigan, Sun Boat Army is a group of local underground electronic musicians. Many of the songs produced under Sun Boat Army are by Anthony Bartys (Gremlin). Currently the group consist of two members, "Gremlin" and his cousin. In 2009, "Gremlin" was asked where he thought of the name. He replied, "No matter where I go, something always goes wrong, as if I was personally trying to sabotage everything. That's where I got the nickname gremlin."
