TRONOS Psaltic Group was founded in 1997, on initiative of Archdeacon Mihail Bucă, protopsaltis of the Patriarchal Cathedral of Bucharest, and is formed especially of young theologians keen on byzantine psaltic music. The group was named “Tronos” by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel in 2007. Thus, TRONOS Choir was formed at the lectern of the Patriarchal Cathedral, around Father Protopsaltis MihailBucă.
